Day 1Chandigarh - Shoja
- Embark on a thrilling drive through the scenic mountains of Himachal
- Reach Shoja in Tirthan valley, where the landscapes transform into a snowy wonderland.
Day 2Shoja - Sangla Valley
- Cross the Jalori Pass with stunning views of snow-capped peaks.
- Arrive in the legendary Sangla Valley and settle into pristine surroundings slightly ahead of Sangla town.
Day 3Sangla Valley - Chitkul - Kalpa
- Drive to Chitkul, the last village nestled in the valley near the Tibet border.
- Continue your adventure to Kalpa, a charming village that unveils awe-inspiring vistas of the magnificent Kinner Kailash range.
Day 4Kalpa - Nako - Giu - Kaza
- Drive through the contrasting landscapes as you transition from the lush Satluj Valley to the rugged desert terrain of the Spiti Valley.
- Explore the serene beauty of Nako Lake.
- Experience a moment of intrigue and spirituality as you visit Giu, renowned for its Self-Mummified Monk.

Day 5Kaza - Hikkim - Komic - Langza - Kaza
- Drive to the highest village in the world, Komic at over 15000 feet. Visit the monastery and take in the panoramic views.
- Visit Hikkim, home to the highest post office on the planet.
- Make a stop at Langza village, a picturesque hamlet adorned with a captivating Buddha statue and a revered temple, renowned for its exquisite mud craft and pottery.
Day 6Kaza - Key - Kibber - Chicham
- Head to the iconic Key Monastery, a captivating sight perched atop a conical hill.
- Ride over the Chicham Bridge – highest bridge in Asia.
- Traverse the hunting grounds of the Snow Leopard as you ride along the buffer of the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary and if lucky spot the elusive Leopard.
Day 7Chicham - Dhankhar - Tabo
- Travel back in time at Dhankhar the erstwhile capital of Spiti
- Ancient Dhankhar Monastery & Fort perched on a cliff
- Tabo Monastery, over 1000 years old, known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas
Day 8Tabo - Sarahan
- Head back to Sarahan today and experience the transition from Spiti’s stark cold deserts to the lush green of Kinnaur
- Visit the iconic Bhimakali Temple and breathtaking mountain views, and relax with an overnight stay.
Day 9Sarahan - Chandigarh
- Last glimpses of Himachal’s stunning mountains and valleys.

This was the most rewarding experience of my life. . Spiti Ecosphere gave me an amazing volunteering opportunity that allowed me to help build a greenhouse in a small village in Spiti Valley, a mountain desert where nothing grows. I signed up for Ecosphere’s 2-week voluntourism program that combines volunteer work with the opportunity to explore the beauty of the valley without the negative side effects of commercial tourism. . What Ishita and Ecosphere are doing in Spiti is remarkable. Ecosphere is helping local communities create sustainable means of living through its many projects, volunteerism being just one of them.
