Day 1Siliguri - Kalimpong

Day 2Kalimpong - Zuluk (via Zig-Zag Road)

  • Today’s drive takes you deeper into the Eastern Himalayas, leaving Kalimpong behind as you ascend toward the historic Silk Route to Tibet.
  • The highlight is the legendary Zuluk Zig-Zag Road, a feat of mountain engineering with nearly 100 hairpin bends over 30 km, offering breathtaking views of valleys and ridges below.

Day 3Zuluk - Gangtok via Tsomgo Lake & Nathula Pass

  • Today we continue along the legendary Old Silk Route, climbing through dramatic mountain terrain toward high passes and glacial lakes.
  • The journey first brings you to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a sacred alpine lake whose crystal-blue waters mirror the surrounding peaks.
  • From there, ascend to Nathula Pass (14,140 ft) — once a vital trade link to Tibet and now a historic Indo-China border crossing. With fluttering prayer flags, icy winds, and sweeping Himalayan vistas, it’s an experience to remember.

Day 4Explore Gangtok

Day 5Gangtok - Lachung via Chungthang

  • Today’s drive takes you deep into North Sikkim, following the Teesta River through lush valleys, pine forests, and cascading waterfalls. En route, pause at the stunning Seven Sisters Waterfall — a spectacular cascade flowing in seven tiers.
  • The journey continues to Chungthang, a culturally rich town at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung rivers, steeped in legends and Buddhist lore.

Day 6 Lachung - Dzongu via Yumthang Valley & Zero Point

  • Wake up to the crisp mountain air of Lachung and head out to the breathtaking Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft) — Sikkim’s own Valley of Flowers. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows, with the Lachung Chu river flowing through, it’s a scene straight out of a postcard.
  • Continue to Zero Point (15,300 ft), where the road ends and the raw beauty of the Himalayas begins. Snow often blankets the landscape here, and the panoramic mountain views are simply spectacular.
  • After the excursion, return to Lachung and drive to Dzongu — a serene, offbeat region reserved for the Lepcha community. With its lush forests, river valleys, and deep cultural roots, Dzongu offers the perfect place to unwind after your high-altitude adventure.

Day 7Dzongu - Pelling via Ravangla

  • After a peaceful night in Dzongu, we drive to Pelling — a charming West Sikkim town known for its panoramic Himalayan views and rich culture.
  • The route winds through scenic valleys and quiet villages, with a stop at Ravangla (7,000 ft) to visit the serene Buddha Park, where a 130-ft statue of Shakyamuni Buddha stands against a stunning Himalayan backdrop.
  • From there, we continue to Pelling (7,200 ft), where views of Mt. Kanchenjunga dominate the skyline and the town’s monasteries, waterfalls, and ancient ruins offer the perfect blend of nature, culture, and history.

Day 8Pelling - Siliguri

  • On our final day, we bid farewell to the peaceful town of Pelling and drive back to Siliguri, a 5–6 hour journey that winds down from the cool mountains of West Sikkim to the warm plains of North Bengal.
  • As we descend, snow-capped peaks give way to pine forests, tea gardens, and river valleys, offering one last glimpse of Sikkim’s stunning landscapes and vibrant village life.
  • By late afternoon, we reach Siliguri — where the journey ends but the memories of Sikkim’s mountains, monasteries, and lakes stay with you.
