Highlights

The Kinnaur & Spiti Safari takes you to the stunning valleys of the Sutlej & Sangla in Kinnaur and into the spectacularly graphic Spiti valley. This trip is one of it’s kind with a focus on experiencing Holi – the festival of colours in the picturesque town of Sangla, with Gulal in your hair & aroma of homemade dishes, the exuberance of Holi is hard to miss. Holi in Sangla is a part of the Faguli festival which is a 4 day festival and holi is celebrated on the third day with dry colours.

  • Travel into the lush valley of the Satluj river in Kinnaur along the Hindustan-Tibet Highway regarded as one of the most adventurous roads in the Himalayas
  • Experience the famous Holi of Sangla
  • Enjoy views of the mighty Kinner Kailash in Kalpa
  • Visit the picturesque Chitkul – the last village in the Valley close to the border of Tibet
  • While in Spiti, visit the World’s Highest Village and send a postcard from the World’s Highest Post-Office
  • Visit forts that once housed the royal family of Spiti, and Monasteries that are a thousand years old
  • Witness the towering Buddha statue of Langza and experience the thrill of walking across Asia’s highest suspension bridge at Chicham.
  • First-hand insights into Spiti’s history, culture, and practices.

We will be travelling a shade more than “ideal”, a tradeoff that in our opinion is worth making so that you may take with you the essence of the Kinnaur and Spiti experience.

Why a LOCAL GUIDE ? Window to Spiti

Your guide is your window to Spiti. Would you like to visit Spiti in a way that you develop a relationship with the place and its people – memories that will last forever ?

Our guides are local and apart from being amazing fun, they are a storehouse of information and stories about Spiti. They are very knowledgeable about the culture, trained as naturalists and in mountaineering and first aid. Given the remoteness of the region, believe us when we say you will know Spiti better because of them.

I Love Spiti Drink and Drive Change!

Potable drinking water is always a concern wherever we travel, as a result we end up buying bottled water and leave behind lots of trash.

Ecosphere requests you to reduce your plastic footprint by carrying your own Water bottle that you can refill with filtered water. Most hotels have filters and we have set up water filter stations at various key locations in Spiti.
