Day 1Chandigarh - Tirthan Valley
- Embark on a thrilling ride through the scenic lower Himalayas.
- Traverse the winding roads leading to the enchanting Tirthan Valley.
- Witness awe-inspiring views of the towering mountains that adorn the landscape, surrounded by the majestic Great Himalayan National Park
Day 2Tirthan Valley - Jalori Pass - Sangla Valley
- Cross the magical Jalori Pass (10,800 ft) via a thrilling route that takes you through breathtaking vistas and exhilarating twists and turns.
- Arrive in the legendary Sangla Valley and settle into pristine surroundings slightly ahead of Sangla town.
Day 3Sangla Valley - Chitkul - Kalpa
- Ride to Chitkul, the last village nestled in the valley near the Tibet border.
- Continue your adventure to Kalpa, a charming village that unveils awe-inspiring vistas of the magnificent Kinner Kailash range.
Day 4Kalpa - Nako - Giu - Tabo
- Ride through the contrasting landscapes as you transition from the lush Satluj Valley to the rugged desert terrain of the Spiti Valley.
- Explore the serene beauty of Nako Lake.
- Experience a moment of intrigue and spirituality as you visit Giu, renowned for its Self-Mummified Monk.
- Thrilling rides along roads carved out of rocks – commonly known as one of the World’s Most Dangerous Roads.
Day 5Tabo - Dhankar - Pin Valley
- The mystical realm of Tabo – the Ajanta of the Himalayas, where the ancient Tabo Monastery stands for over a millennium.
- Visit Dhankhar, the once-thriving capital of Spiti, adorned with architectural wonders that stand as a testament to its glorious past.
- Conclude the day’s journey by venturing into the captivating Pin Valley, where the wonders of this enchanting region continue to unfold.
Day 6Pin Valley - Kungri - Komic - Hikkim - Langza - Kaza
- The sacred Kungri Monastery, the sole Nyingmapa monastery in Spiti, steeped in the ancient traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.
- Ride through an alternative route, immersing yourself in the untouched wilderness of the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, along the sprawling grazing pastures where village livestock roam freely and the hunting grounds of the elusive Snow Leopard as you make your way to Komic village and monastery, the highest village in the world.
- Continue onwards to Hikkim, home to the highest post office on the planet.
- Make a stop at Langza village, a picturesque hamlet adorned with a captivating Buddha statue and a revered temple.
Day 7Kaza - Kee - Kibber - Chicham - Kunzum Pass - Chandratal
- Head to the iconic Kee Monastery, a captivating sight perched atop a conical hill.
- Ride over the Chicham Bridge – highest bridge in Asia.
- Cross the spectacular Kunzum Pass (4551mt/14931ft) and visit the Buddhist shrine
- Be prepared to be mesmerized as you make your way to the enchanting Chandratal, a picturesque lake known as the abode of the Moon Goddess.
Day 8Chandratal - Manali
- Ride along the beautiful Chandra River Valley
- Ride through the famous Atal tunnel that divides Kullu from the Lahaul Valley and experience the contrast from desert landscapes to the lush green of the Himalayas
Day 9Manali - Chandigarh
- Ride along the mesmerising Kullu Valley
- We end the trip today at Chandigarh

This was the most rewarding experience of my life. . Spiti Ecosphere gave me an amazing volunteering opportunity that allowed me to help build a greenhouse in a small village in Spiti Valley, a mountain desert where nothing grows. I signed up for Ecosphere’s 2-week voluntourism program that combines volunteer work with the opportunity to explore the beauty of the valley without the negative side effects of commercial tourism. . What Ishita and Ecosphere are doing in Spiti is remarkable. Ecosphere is helping local communities create sustainable means of living through its many projects, volunteerism being just one of them.
